A Thank You to Jayne

Hello my crafty pals. Great to join you all again and you know I love it when you visit me. I would be the first to admit that I have probably spent far more time searching out bargains than actual crafting. It comes as no surprise to my hubby that the postman and I are on first name terms – lol.
So when I explained that my latest parcel was candy I had won from the lovely Jayne at http://thecraftycavalier.blogspot.co.uk he had a surprised look especially when I opened it and it had a lot more goodies in it than I expected. Thank you very much.
Not only have I been too busy searching bargains but a lot of those said bargains often sit on the shelf. Well I took a flower die cutter and applied some of the blue flower soft, I then heated up my melt pot and dunked my flowers in it. When I was using my heat gun to remove some of the excess UTEE I sprinkled some ultra fine glitter onto the flowers, perhaps a little less next time. I now have pretty flowers and nothing is dropping off them. There is the usual amount of glitter on my clothes, keyboard, desk etc. Hope you are all able to take care in this weather, I am just about to venture out. xx Flora

  4. I have to agree with you and the other commenters about often see my postie. Like you I often (waste) spend time looking for new stash online after seeing a must have on someone else's blog.

Well done on making your own glittery flowers. I have loads of bought flowers but not always the right colour. Great sparkle on your card. Lovely.

I'm afraid I've been a bit of a bad blogger lately but I'm desperately trying to catch up with everyone.

  6. Good afternoon Flora,
Tell me what crafter is NOT on first name terms with their postie. We are very lucky we have had the same Postie for 17 years, he must really wonder what I do with ALL that STUFF he delivers......................
I love today`s card, you have given me an idea with that little piece of Music Paper.
Bet you had great fun making those flowers and they look great.

  7. Hi Flora, many congratulations on your candy win, it is always lovely to receive happy mail! Reading the above comments, I think we must all be on first name terms with our posties - but at least we are all keeping part of the economy buoyant. Love the bling flowers on your card, you did a brilliant job on them. Hugs, Anne x
