Bag attempt 1

Good  Morning my crafty pals. Thank you for visiting and for the lovely comments you left. Always great to know I’m not alone in doing something even if it is cutting a wonky line. First I’d better apologise to Patricia (patricia-summerhousecraft) for my attempt at a bag, I think I’ll have to come to Scotland for some lessons. I didn’t have any double sided card (duh – could have printed some) so I stuck 2 sheets of single sided together – lol. I did have some real fun trying to do the bag and no doubt my pal will smile tomorrow when she receives it, she knows I don't usually try anything like this. I forgot to cut the handle so it will be a clutch bag. Sorry if my comments are a bit brief or half/totally missing, I am having trouble with the comments page hiding on me.
Tomorrow I am off to the Sincerely Yours show in Taunton (my next post should be some goodies) so if any pals are there please say hello, I will be the one causing mayhem tripping peeps over with my crutches, lol. I have a list and also some pennies – I will take my card as a just in case but my aim will be to keep to what I take with me. I am going to try to use satnav on my phone for the first time so if you see a wee purple IQ wandering about aimlessly you will know to point it in the right direction (I don’t think the petrol tank is big enough to reach Scotland).
I used Spellbinders Grand Labels 4 to cut the bag and lopped the bottom straight, some memory box/poppystamp window dies and a Magnolia die to decorate. Hope you all have fun for the rest of the crafty weekend.  xx Flora

it is more goth than deco but I do like those dies so I also popped one on the back -

  7. Hi Flora,
I think this a super bag. Looks fabulous to me. You are a braver lady than me. I am still thinking about the attempt, very slow with my forward motion one step forward 2 steps back. lol.
Just thought you could have punched holes and threaded ribbon through for handles.
    Enjoy your shopping trip.
    Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  8. Don't knock it Flora, this is a great first attempt at a bag. Just been smiling reading about windows 8. I nearly downloaded it then read the small print about having to reinstall most things if you have been using Vista.... that stopped me as it would take a month to do that :)
    Have a great shopping day
