Lazy Day

Thank you to all my crafty pals for your lovely comments on my male card, I am just about keeping in front of the ones I need, I do have 2 surviving brothers and also 5 BILs,  plus nephews etc and I am now starting to enjoy doing these male cards - lol, it really was a stash thing.  I am always enjoying the gift that is blogland as I love wandering around your blogs. You can imagine my shock when I went to my blog and it said “blog does not exist” – sorry if you heard my squealing expletive, lol - anyway it said to click on something and enter my phone number as someone had tried to use my blog inappropriately – the bloggy people  phoned me and gave me an unlock code and I was back in business. Phew!
Anyway onto my card and my usual bit of being distracted:-
I have been sorting through my dies and noticed that I did not have many border dies, I cannot use punches at all, as my osteoarthritis has taken away that ability (so glad I am not a horse), so I would love to produce what so many of you do with punches such as the Martha Stewart ones. Anyway I didn't find what I was looking for in the crafty shops, got distracted as we do, and I bought a gorgeous Memory Box die which is a butterfly border so my card attempts to make good use of it. This is a long die and I haven't used the full length of it. Did I mention I like butterflies!

Birthday Time

Thank you to all my crafty pals for your lovely comments and a big welcome to my latest pal. I have had such great comments to read and will now go for a wander around and hopefully my comments won't be too misspelt or go missing as I shall try doing them from my tablet, tucked up on the sofa. I had a very slow start today and just tucked up in my craft den to make a quick card which did not end up as quick. I am sure I cut the embellishments more than once but got interrupted and they disappeared .  I have also had fun comments about adding to wish lists, I would have to say that apart from being addicted I have focused on dies that would be very suitable for male cards. Also my love of Art Deco is often at the forefront of what I buy.  I do find it difficult to put doilies on male cards – lol, and will have to pay better attention to how my pals embellish their male cards.

Paper and card - card blank is a 6 inch square
my backing paper is made in Word printed on buff heavy paper
and cut with Die-namics Insert It Notebook die
Other Dies used :- X-cut Pocket Watch dies and

Thoughtful flowers

Thank you to all my crafty pals for your lovely comments and a big welcome to my new pals. It was bitterly cold today and although well wrapped up I could not remain in the churchyard any longer, to share time with friends we see on these occasions. We were lucky that the day stayed dry. Hubby has such a hacking cough he was unable to attend. Time to renew my vow to make the very best of each day we are given and also to use up all that special stash.
So to sharing a wee thought with my wonderful crafty pals – “Tomorrow holds many wonderful things”. I am away for some sleep now and will hopefully catch up with you all over the weekend, in any case have a good one.

Tag card

After my wee bit of fun yesterday I settled for a lazy stroll through blogland. I do love to see what you are all doing. Thank you my crafty pals for enjoying my twinchie, I so enjoyed the comments. The only trouble with blogland is that we see things we really need and this month's budget is already bust - lol.
It is bitterly cold here today with a really keen wind. I am hoping it will ease a bit by the time of tomorrow's funeral, at any rate let us hope it doesn't turn to the forecast sleet.
Today's play started out to be a tag and ended up as a card, although I haven't put a greeting on yet, I expect it will be a BIL birthday card.
Again I have to say that this was a real "I need it" die, and although very intricate it cuts very well especially with the wax paper, so without further ado -

Man Love Twinchie

Thank you to all my crafty pals for your lovely comments. A mix of sunshine, two nights sleep and all your good wishes have me feeling a lot brighter today. So I decided it was time for a wee bit of fun and what better way to do so than making a twinchie, well this is possibly too silly but I came across some car peel offs amongst my stash so here is my love play with it. I don’t suppose my hubby would drive one yet hee hee.
I would like to enter this into "Love is in the Air" -

Still Melancholy

Thank you all for your lovely comments.  I felt relaxed after reading them, I also slept quite well last night. If I missed commenting on your great cards and projects then hopefully you will forgive me. I was trying to do comments from my tablet and it takes a lot of getting used to as I have a special keyboard  and mouse with my normal desktop.
I had a lovely walk today and delivered one of my cards.  I thought I would take advantage of my melancholy mood so I created a couple of cards to pop into my box so I again wandered into my old wooden die supply for this lily. I also settled for some quiet colours and played with some of my spellbinders.

Simple sympathy cards

Hello my wonderful crafty pals.  You are all so good to me and I am so lucky to have you join me and I am very glad you enjoy your visits.  I have to own up to being tempted to go out and buy cards as I found these two difficult to make, but I kept them very simple. My FM has been shockingly bad and although I have tried hard I felt like a total zombie yesterday. Please imagine a zombie trying to fit purchases into an already full freezer!!!! - never mind battered cod I think I battered everything.
Anyway enough moping and onto my simple cards. I have a few PSX stamps and have to admit they are always so easy to use. My photos are not great but you will get the gist.

More Birds and Newspaper

Thank you ALL for your lovely comments.  A very warm welcome to my new crafty pals, hope you are always happy here.  I was so chuffed at the comments on my last card.  I chuckled at Patricia’s comment and the answer to ANNie’s question is “Yes”,  at one time I was of the opinion that I was attempting economic recovery single handed, of course that was until I started discussing purchasing with other crafters and realised it was a team effort.
For today I dug out a very ignored Go Kreate owlets die, I love the result but it is fiddly and I am a bit lazy.  It also places me in a quandary over just how small a piece of card I should be saving – lol.
My “wooden” horse die I have only ever used when creating fairytale cards and was bought like many as pre-used, it is more difficult to buy this way now as the postal charges are higher.  This is my first attempt to use it in another way.
My other photo is of a newspaper uncovered as we are doing renovations, it is dated 6th November 1958.  I am unsure what I should do with it yet so feel free to make any suggestions. Hope you are all well and taking care. xx Flora

The Greenhouse

Hello to all my crafty pals and a big thank you for all your comments, I enjoyed reading them very much. I am carrying on my man card theme so it is only natural to go from the potting shed to the greenhouse. This looks a little bit like the winter greenhouse next door. I am also intent on using up stash and what better way than to play with some dies. I was bowled over by this barbed wire fence so had to have it. It was a definite need not a want - lol.  I may have got a little carried away with my bird theme. Hope you enjoy visiting as I love to see all your creations.

Birthday Boy Potting shed

I know I will never catch up so I will send you all hugs and do the best I can. I think the cold wind has pinched my concentration.  Computer is in a reasonable state with just the occasional hiccup, he is getting on a bit now. I managed to drag myself to be shorn yesterday and to the supermarket today - more importantly for me it keeps me driving.
I cannot believe this is the first image I have stamped this year, it was going to be all mono but I found some bits of paper I wanted to use so that plan went by the by, also I mounted my topped wonky but didn't realise until it was too late.

Ooops! doesn't exist

Sending you all Thank You for your lovely comments and I will be back soon. My computer didn't actually say Ooops!, it was more rude sounding than that. I managed to mess up my Windows licence, long boring story so I won't do that one, anyway you know what you have to do and when I went to look for it (you know the restore point we all create) - no restore point, much embarrassment and gradually rebuilding my computer. I am now so tired I am off to sleep. Of course I have created one now. I will wander around later but please excese the lack of comments.

New Home Tag

Good Morningish my crafty pals. As ever I thank you very much for your lovely comments and I also welcome Beryl. I suppose I should put a "sunglasses required" warning on this tag as it is alarmingly green. Goodness knows where this corrugated piece of card came from. I got a little carried away with my keys and locks hee hee. I can certainly say this is a fab die. The tag is not as I planned as I mislaid what I was going to attach to the string so I just strung the locks and keys. I may remove them before using the tag. I think I will also try this die with some shrink plastic. Hope you like my bit of fun. xx Flora
