Thank you ALL for your lovely comments. A very warm welcome to my new crafty pals,
hope you are always happy here. I was so
chuffed at the comments on my last card.
I chuckled at Patricia’s comment and the answer to ANNie’s question is “Yes”,
at one time I was of the opinion that I
was attempting economic recovery single handed, of course that was until I
started discussing purchasing with other crafters and realised it was a team effort.
For
today I dug out a very ignored Go Kreate owlets die, I love the result but it is fiddly
and I am a bit lazy. It also places me
in a quandary over just how small a piece of card I should be saving – lol.
My “wooden”
horse die I have only ever used when creating fairytale cards and was bought
like many as pre-used, it is more difficult to buy this way now as the postal
charges are higher. This is my first
attempt to use it in another way.
My
other photo is of a newspaper uncovered as we are doing renovations, it is
dated 6th November 1958. I am
unsure what I should do with it yet so feel free to make any suggestions. Hope you are all well and taking care. xx Flora
Great card Flora love those horses, I know what you mean about the postage I'm going more for digi images these days and only ordering dies when I have enough to do an order for free postage - tight or what :)

Hi Flora love those dies you have used. The horses look amazing. Love all the elements used.
ReplyDeleteWith regard to your newspaper you could use it to cover a canvas or scrapbook page. Even cut out some sections to add to various vintage projects.
Hugs

Hi Flora, love your card, especially the horses! I'm thinking use the paper in small amounts on vintage style cards? Carole Z X

Hi Flora,
ReplyDeletelove your card and also the owls and horses. As I have said before you do find the most wonderful and unusual dies. Fabulous creation.
The news paper would be excellent used as a backing paper on a card.
You could even cut out bits and photocopy them as backing paper to a card. Or cover a small box with it.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
You certainly enjoy using your dies - those little owlets are well worth the fiddle. I usually save any piece of card which is postage stamp size or larger!! It would be interesting to make a sort of collage with the interesting bits of the newspaper and maybe copy and save for future use.
ReplyDeleteStunning card don`t know how I missed it yesterday ,I won`t know what to do with the old paper maybe take on what others have said .Melanie
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Friend, yet another very different and brilliant card. Love those horses, and your Fab layout.
ReplyDeleteI would keep the paper, iron it, use it on Vintage projects. Mind you I would put it away save and ever find it when I need it!!!!! Then it would be Ancient rather than Vintage!!!
I love Dies, buy them from places offering Free P&P.
Have you seen all the new Spellbinders on C&C???
Have a Great Day

Beautiful card. Love the owls.
ReplyDeleteNot crafty, but is there maybe a local history museum that would want the paper? It may fit into an exhibit for further detail?
