Dusted it off

Thank you to all my crafty pals for your lovely comments. It has been all stop start, going to do something but the weather has put paid to most of what we had a mind to do. Why should I be surprised, we seem to have had over a year of rain with just the occasional blast of snow and a couple of days of sunshine (global warming indeed).
I swapped my glue for some mortar and did a little repointing and general dogsbody as the boss laid the first row of blocks (but I am told the most difficult) of our new kitchen.  I have now been instructed to design what I want in the kitchen so that the electrics etc can be set so I will remain a bit missing although I am wandering in blogland and enjoying your beautiful creations.
Now the important bit of info amongst all this waffle and thus the title of this post - I dusted off my old craftrobo as Poppystamps have started doing digi file die cuts. I bought 3 of them for 99 cents each and this Calypso Swirl is the first I have cut. I popped it onto a quick Thank You card along with some freebie die cuts I received and a bit of a stamp. It won't stop me using dies and of course buying them, lol. Sending hugs and do take care all and I will pop in to see you all by the by.

  2. So pretty - fab cut file and what a great price - sadly I don't own anything that will allow me to use cut files so I can admire without being tempted to spend! Agree with you on the global warming thing - been out for the usual walk this morning and it the wind is definitley of the Siberian variety!

  4. Geeat card Flora.
Ooh kitchen planning - the only thing I forgot to get installed was underfloor heating. The tiles are absolutely bone chilling when the weather is icy.

  6. Hi Flora, this is great. I have toyed a few times with buying some kind of cutting machine but always persuade myself I don't need one. I spend all my money on dies instead. Who knows which is the better deal? Anyway, I love what I do and that is the main thing. Have fun with your planning! Christine xx

  8. Rain and more rain indeed Flora, hubby keeps a religious record of rainfall and here in the Fens we had 54.62 inches last year and so far this year we seem to following the same track with 7.55 inches to date. Spring, Summer ?

Lovely elegance to your card with the sweet twist of the ellie at the bottom.

  12. Good to see you are finding time to craft in between the builder's labouring work!! Nice to hear that neglected equipment is getting an airing.

  13. Gorgeous card Flora. I'm afraid I am stuck with the Grand Calibur. These cutting machines seem to be great.

    1. I wouldn't put one on my wish list again Marie-Louise although I do like playing with doing my own designs but I will always prefer to use actual dies. The biggest difference is that you can change the size of what you are cutting to suit your card. xx Flora

  16. Good evening Flora,
Great card, loving it all, good to see what you have done with those Digi Files.
I never got the hang of my Craft Robo. Much prefer the Die Cutting machines.

Really plan those "Sockets" in the kitchen, you can never have too many. I did my kitchen 3 years ago and I still wish I had put in more than I did. The other thing is the lighting. All these fancy things are fine but you really need to see if the chops are burning or not!!!!!
    Happy labouring

    1. Hello May, just been saying that to hubby, neither of us is very good at bending down to see how the roastings are doing. We have had our current cooker for over 20 years old and it was second hand then. xx Flora
