Birdcage

Here we are again, a quick visit to say Thank You to my blogging pals for their kind comments and so pleased you liked what I did with my bridge. A special Thank You to Wilma http://scottish-crafter.blogspot.co.uk/   for being such a great pal. A big welcome to Hazel http://hazelsbasketsofjoy.blogspot.co.uk/ on her arrival in blogland, look forward to you joining us for more after your holidays, please be totally relaxed about being here.
This was one of these cards which I fiddled with too much, still I did also enjoy having a play. I inked the coordination card, put it through the embossing folder and then sanded it and quite like the effect I got. 
I will also be putting a couple of new photos of our build up, as you can see we are a bit like that famous company but we really are getting there, lol.
I should say sorry for hogging the good piece of weather the country is having but believe me we do need it. Hopefully I will get around to a bit of wandering and commenting later but I do have a couple of errands to run today and the sunshine is beckoning. 
Paper and card - card blank is a C5 made from Papermill card 
lilac and flowery backing card from the scrap box, 
 Dies used :- Darice Grass embossing folder, 
Cheery Lynn  Birdcage,
Magnolia Doohickeys Sprawling fern,
Spellbinders Celtic Motifs and
IO birds from the Birdbath die.

    Flora, firstly can I say a big thank you for the great e-mails you send Patricia that she then forwards on to me, you brighten up my day with them and thank you for becoming a follower on my blog to.
    Glad you are enjoying all the good weather, I will forgive you for hogging it with all your building work needing dry days to get your house finished. Will pop over and see you are getting on with it.

    Just me again, been and had a look at what you have done on the build, oh I know what you mean about 20in thick walls we have the same in our cottage, and you are right the lintels have to be good to carry the extra weight. Hope it is easily sorted.

    Thank you for your lovely comment.Hoping today is the worst of day of the sniffles.
    Love the birdcage and all the birdies trying to get in or out.
    My goodness, you have a lot of work going on at home. Hope it all comes together for you soon and that you get your op sorted. I get so fed up when I get hospital appointments continually cancelled.

    Love that embossing folder and it goes well with the pretty birdcage and the little flying birds. Pleased you are enjoying the sunshine - wish it would get a little warmer though.

    Fab card Flora, love the background, your bird cage looks gilded and those birds around it are fabulous! Must find the bird bath die as I'd enjoy adding those little cuties to my creations. It's so nice that the sun is out for a change. Try not to overdo it and have a good weekend Karen x

    Lovely card Flora - the EF and birdcage die go perfectly together.

    I'm laughing here too about the trials of my card for today - NOW - I was almost crying at the time :)

    Hi Flora,
    Another stunning card, love what you have done here.
    Well we had one day of clear blue skies, next day loads of clouds, dry but that's about all you could say about it. Pouring rain today........good job we are not trying to build what you guys are building.
