The Bell

Thank you all for your wishes and lovely comments. I had a slow start today as I partook of a bit of the old but tasty grape last night at a local establishment, hee hee.
Living within easy distance of a peal of bells by Taylor's of Loughborough a good bell die was high up on my wish list and I am delighted with this one. Also had a wee go with a bit of distressing and love the effect with this embossing folder so a simple card was done. Hope you like it.
Card is approximately 5x7 in white
backing is brown co-ordination card, bell is black co-ordination card
both run through the Couture Creations embossing folder Fretboard,
Dies used – Die-namics Chevron Stripes,  Memory Box Virtuoso Music and
 Dee's Distinctively Silhouette Bell.

Birthday craft stash

Oooooo my birthday craft stashes have arrived. Thought I would show a piccy. What should I use first?Better make a cuppa.

Have a Dirty Weekend

Sorry my wonderful crafty pals, my title promised so much and all it is aimed at is a 4 wheel driver hee hee. This time it is a man tag with a tatty background.  I turned my hexagon borders into crawler boards. The title quoted one of the stickers that was on a landrover I had many years ago, the other sticker was rude and my boss did not approve.  I will say that the stickers were there when I bought it.
The police allowed me past their cordon to drive from the top of Bath onto an unmarked blanket of snow, there was no way I could tell where the road was. Those were the days before Health and Safety. Funny how a memory returns to us - Now I have a sensible little automatic and have reached the grand age of 57 today.
Yesterday was my perfect day, I met up with two of my blogging crafty pals, http://stampsandpaper.blogspot.co.uk/ and my newest  http://aquarius-aquariusblog.blogspot.co.uk/ at a crafty shop/cafe. Stash, food and the best company anyone could wish for. Thank you both very much.
This is only my second tag but I did have fun thinking how to do it. Thank you also to all my crafty pals who take the time to leave me comments, I so enjoy reading them.

Tag is made from Papermania Kraft card cut using
the "Tags and Bookplates" alterations die ,
Other Dies used – wooden 4x4 die and Die-namics Open Hexagon Border.

Transport

Thank you my crafty pals for your comforting comments and e-mails, so pleased you all liked my card also. Why Oh! Why are most of my relatives male, good job they all like cars and football. Since I bought my first cutter I have been on the lookout for a die that would cut a penny farthing. I now have it and the scrap from it was used for the matching banner. I could not wait to put it to use and as I need a card for my nephew next week, his favourite thing is sports cars I thought combining the two would be a giggle. I may even continue to make male cards for some time as I have none in the box.
I am wondering if we are the only place where it is still snowing, just light flurries at the moment. The sky was an amazing red this morning but I was too sleepy to take a photo. Anyway I shall post this and then hopefully catch up on a bit of blogging. Take care all and I hope you don't get flooded. xx Flora

Gosh, that was tough

Thank you first of all for your helpful tips on my previous card. I am pleased so many of you liked my celtic border and I can say it was no trouble to cut out.
This morning I have struggled a bit but cannot procrastinate any longer. It had taken me days to start this card. My brother-in-law has a birthday this week but the sad fact is that as a family they have agreed that his wife who suffers from severe alzheimer has to stay in care. He is struggling terribly with this as they have been together such a long time. I could not be upbeat and jolly so this was my best effort.

Memory Box Blooming Vine, loopy rings and pine needle.

Does it need something?

Hello my clever and ever so lovely crafty pals. I know that I am supposed to be tidying up but I keep coming across bits of paper and card and thinking do I keep or not - decisions!  decisions!  . Well this card is bits that I couldn't decide on and now they have formed a very quick card, and as it came together so quickly I am left thinking , should I be adding more to it? I will add a greeting at some point. The white stuff in coming down at a fast and steady rate so I think we are in for a few bucketfuls. I was hoping it would stay away until all were safely in their homes especially as our eldest is on late shift tonight. Do we ever stop worrying about them!
I can see you are all having loads of crafty fun as I wander around blogland, so many gorgeous creations and distractions. Thank you all for creating such enjoyment.

CAS or Just cold

Hello my crafty pals and Thank You for your comments on my little piece of fun art. Here I am surrounded by snow; honestly it is not my fault, my last few planned excursions have either been foiled by floods or snow, good job I am not paranoid, isn’t it? All the same I’m paying tribute here. I am not sure if I should call this CAS or just cold. Hoping you are all coping well and keeping warm or cool as required and also safe. xx Flora

Look Behind You Twinchie

Hello my crafty pals and welcome to my new pal. Great to join you all in a lot of fun and you know I love it when you visit me and leave me with such a lovely read. I know that I have a card which I should be making but I got distracted by tiny bits of die cut that looked like flying monsters/aliens so I popped them onto a twinchie along with a few more bits and pieces. I am also trying to put off the search for a document which I have put somewhere safe. In reality also my desk space is now down to nearly twinchie size so I am going to have to do a tidy up, my floor also looks like something off a hoarders telly program. If I am not back before the end of the month please send a search party - lol.

Paper and card - card is a 2 inch square piece of pearlescent pink,
the dark backgroung is printed onto canvas paper,
Dies used – Die-namics Fishtail flag STAX
and Memory Box Curious cat also waste from another die.

My first tag

Thank you all for your comments on my busy card. It is just great having crafty pals. Well it is complete bedlam here today, we live on a main "A" road on a very steep hill and it has been games all round. We now have jack-knifed lorries on each of the roads out of the village and each of the main roads, at least 6 currently, my daughter has just gone to work and had to turn round and try an alternative road where she just managed to squeak past one of them. Also a litter of abandoned vehicles around so I am hoping that you are all safe.
I was certainly not venturing out albeit I have the benefit of sticks - lol. Enough waffling I have made my first tag. I bought the "Tags and Bookplates" alterations die this week so I had to try it out. Ooooo what a great die, this is top for my addiction. Then I just sat and looked at my desk and popped onto the tag that which was sitting about. My desk doesn't look any tidier but I did have fun.

Tag is made from corrugated card cut using
the "Tags and Bookplates" alterations die ,
Other Dies used – Die-namics Decorative Circles Tag STAX.

A Thank You to Jayne

Hello my crafty pals. Great to join you all again and you know I love it when you visit me. I would be the first to admit that I have probably spent far more time searching out bargains than actual crafting. It comes as no surprise to my hubby that the postman and I are on first name terms – lol.
So when I explained that my latest parcel was candy I had won from the lovely Jayne at http://thecraftycavalier.blogspot.co.uk he had a surprised look especially when I opened it and it had a lot more goodies in it than I expected. Thank you very much.
Not only have I been too busy searching bargains but a lot of those said bargains often sit on the shelf. Well I took a flower die cutter and applied some of the blue flower soft, I then heated up my melt pot and dunked my flowers in it. When I was using my heat gun to remove some of the excess UTEE I sprinkled some ultra fine glitter onto the flowers, perhaps a little less next time. I now have pretty flowers and nothing is dropping off them. There is the usual amount of glitter on my clothes, keyboard, desk etc. Hope you are all able to take care in this weather, I am just about to venture out. xx Flora

A quick man card

Hello my wonderful crafty pals, so pleased with your comments on my last card and here I am again with just another quick card, this is for our garden designing friend and I must admit to always being tempted to put flowers and watering cans etc on his card. However I am still in a - playing with my die cutters only mood. I got a bit confused, ok a bit more than usual as I cut my decorative labels 27 , the second largest one and then I couldn't work out how it was supposed to go with the ordinary labels 27 dies. This is the first ones I have bought as a pair. Never mind it may dawn on me at some point. I have also been die cutting for a friend  which I thoroughly enjoyed as it was some of my oldest dies, but that is all the crafting I have done lately. I think it is because I have been eating too much chocolate. A very warm welcome to my new crafty pals, so glad you have joined. Happy crafting and blogging to all. xx Flora

Paper and card - card is 19cm  square ,
backing paper from my special box,
Dies used – Go Kreate XXL Frilly #7 , Cheery Lynn Pinwheel Doily,

Eldest's Birthday

I have eventually managed to bring the New Year in but my mojo has gone seriously adrift. It is my oldest daughter’s birthday today and all I have managed is a very quicky card. Where have the 25 years gone? Thank you all for your good wishes for my recovery and I have returned to my normal.
Why are there so many really great new dies available, those new spellbinders look sooo tempting. I know that one of my resolutions was to buy more dies but I do have a bank manager! So to justify I have used a few of the ones I already own for this card. I hope you are all well or at any rate on the road to a quick recovery. I will get around for a wander later I hope. Also a very warm welcome to my new crafty pal.

Happy New Year

Well here we are in 2012+1, ok 2013 - A Happy New Year to all my crafty pals or I should really say “Bliadhna Mhath Ur dhuibh uile“. Not as dark haired as I once was, lol, but still happy to go first footing. To me this is always the most important day of the year so I am sending you all a greeting and a hope that this year is good to you. I was going to make a card but on Friday I was helping hubby move some stuff, just passing things and I twisted around and my back went click and I haven’t managed to do anything since. Had to miss the New Year party so must make sure to make up for it at the end of the year. I will take a wander around blogland as soon as I can. Let us all hope the weather forecast is correct and it is going to stop raining this year. Sending you all hugs. xx Flora
